The starting point of this family-friendly theme trail is the village of Schönberg or the mountain station of the Serles cable cars in Mieders. Various stations with oversized forest animals await the visitors: bee, snake, squirrel and spider. At all forest animal trail stations you will find information about the animals shown and a variety of possibilities for playing for large and small people.

Earthworm Slide

A custom design for the first station of the new forest animal pathway in Mieders. From the viewing platform right at the mountain station of the Serlesbahnen, you can now slide down elegantly. We wish you lots of fun!

Extension of the Forest Animal Path Stubai
Two new animals on the forest animal trail introduce themselves: earthworm and Alpine salamander. At the viewing platform near the Serlesbahnen, the impressive 40-meter-long earthworm slide, descending 16 meters in height, winds its way into the forest. Continuing along the path towards the Ochsenhütte, the forest animal trail station for the Alpine salamander (Zangger Brunner) appears about 10 minutes after the hut. With the overflow from the spring collection, visitors can experience a natural water play area while overcoming the small streams and puddles in the balancing course.
